Horse show in Friðheimar
Icelandic horse show:
A professional display of the history and gaits of the Icelandic horse, 12 minutes in total. The show is focused and both educational and entertaining. It gives insight into one of the most magnificent horse breeds in the world, a breed that has been intertwined with the culture and history of the Icelandic nation through the centuries.
After the show guests are invited into the stable where they can have some coffee and have access to restroom facilities. In the stable guests can get close to the horses, take pictures and chat with the show riders. The display itself is accompanied by music and narration which is available in many languages. The total stop of each group of guest is estimated about 30-40 minutes.
Friðheimar Farm is located in Reykholt in Bláskógabyggð, about 90 km outside Reykjavík, on highway nr. 35, in route to Gullfoss and Geysir.
The Icelandic horse show is on offer from June 1st to October 1st.
